More about Beck

What's your ideal day?  A cup of good coffee with sweet cream, sprinkling the garden, brunch with my family, a walk through a neighborhood or along the peninsula path, a stroll through a shop or farmers market, a late lunch from Oh la Vache on fourth, maybe a football or baseball game, or a trip to a museum in the afternoon, and appetizers and dinner with friends

Place you'd most like to visit? (again or for 1st time) Difficult to name one - London is near the top of the list

Favorites: Authors & Books: John Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors - I have read all but 3 of his books, East of Eden and Travels With Charlie are two of my favorites.

Food: I enjoy eating at Alder & Sage, Ellie's, Wood & Salt, and the 555.

What's your favorite word and why?  Wonderful, because as Will Rogan said once, "Wonderful cannot be overused, because the world is full of wonder."

What makes you laugh? my sons' humor

What brings you to tears? Experiencing a room full of young adults worshipping Jesus together

What do you do for fun? Eat good food, visit museums, explore new cities, shop thrift and antique shops, listen to live Jazz, watch soccer, football, basketball, baseball, golf, polo, and F1, walk/hike, learn about bugs and gardening, entertain, spend time at the beach or in the water, and I'm always up for going to new places.

What do you want for your last meal? Perfectly scrambled eggs, 2 slices of thick cut bacon, and a thick slice of sourdough toast buttered with a delectable French butter

What are you excited about in this season of life? Watching my sons grow and pursue good work, and the opportunity to continue learning and trying new things.

What's the most compelling reason you're serving on the Board? I believe there is great synergy when we can artfully gather, connect with one another, share stories, and leverage our network and resources for the good of the city.
